目前汉字编码设计和处理大都依赖人工作业,不仅效率低,而且性能差。文章指出:汉字编码技术的一项基本改革是系统内部信息结构的改革,以实现电脑对汉字特征信息的程控操作。描述了一种叫做汉字特征码信息结构的基本形式,并提出在“中文自动编码系统”中建立规范化的特征码汉字信息库,作为今后各类汉字编码的特征信息源。文章详细论述了从特征码汉字信息库到字、词编码生成的程序处理方法,从而证实了在汉字编码系统中建立字、词码表是没有必要的。文章最后指出,特征码信息结构不仅有助于实现自动编码操作和提高编码效率,而且也有助于电脑参与编码设计和改善编码性能。

The manual code designing and processing of Chinese characters and words ,adopted in the Chinese information processing system are still in low efficiency and poor performance. A new method was thus suggested in the paper that the information st ructure in coding systems can be t reated through an executive program in a computer. Both the information format of the method and their programmable feature were discussed in the paper. In the new system ,it is necessary to set up a data base of feature information of the Chinese character. Once the new information st ructure is adopted ,where the Chinese characters and words are automatically ,efficiently and accurately coded in a computer ,the coding tables for Chinese characters and words in the old coding systems will not be applied in the new system again.
